| Description | The Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP)is an evidence-based nurse home-visiting programme designed to improve the health, well-being and self-sufficiency of young first-time parents and their children. This research was undertaken to consider the feasibility of implementing the Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) programme in England in ten test sites and its short-term impact on practitioners, the wider service community and children and families. The research involved: - Forms completed by 57 Family Nurses; - Interviews with 106 clients (approximately 10%), with some partners or other family members, Family Nurses and supervisors, administrators, local managers, stakeholders from other agencies, and the central government team. - Researchers also visited sites, observed group supervision meetings and attended and analysed ratings of training. | |
